Amazing First Week In Georgia!!

This week has been all about exploring the beautiful State of Georgia!! I visited the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site where I saw the house where he lived, his clothing, and tomb. I also learned a lot about Gadhi who was a non-violent activist, as well, in India. I left very inspired by both of them knowing that a lot of things can be done without using any kind of violence but just gathering and organizing people together into the movement.

I don’t start my internship until Monday, July 9th but I did get a head start by visiting the museum  a few days ago. I’m interning at the Atlanta Historic Center and I have come to find out a few of the big TV shows and movies has been filmed there. The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games are two top hits. They’re made up of 34 acres (Yes, I only made it to a quarter of it) it’s HUGE! This museum has amazing technology! Lots of touch screens, 3D images, sounds, captions, it’s just absolutely amazing and a great way to get kids into learning. I can’t wait until next week to share my experience with you again!
