San Antonio Museum of Art: Week 03
Throughout my third week the assignments that I have been working on are the community story time and creating small models of works of art through the different exhibitions so the museum can grow the amount of objects that will aid the interaction of art between people who are visually impaired. The story time was very similar to the education programs that I assisted with that the museum holds for children of different age ranges. Also working on the art models for the visually impaired so the museum can broaden the demographic of people that can enjoy the museum and interact with the art. This is a direction that I've seen larger museums step into and I am very excited to create more models so that other people can also interpret the art. The idea of museums creating more interactive things for the visually impaired is a very new idea to me and I enjoy thinking of innovative ways to change the way people think of art and having more people being able to interact with pieces in the museums collection. Through my assignments and experiences this week I have encountered new ideas and new knowledge about education and arts, learning has definitely been a constant thing that has happened between my internship and the Washington week.
